# SyncCut

Recorded your voice on a lavalier or field recorder? Drop in the video and the recording, and SyncCut lines them up and exports the result, without re-encoding the video. No need to install a full video editor just to fix the sound.

Coming soon to the Mac App Store. Requires macOS 26 or later.

## Two drops and an export

No project to set up, no tracks to arrange. The window is one box for the video and one for the recording.

1. Drop the video: drag your clip onto the video box.
2. Drop the audio: drag the lavalier or recorder file onto the audio box.
3. Sync and export: Auto Sync lines them up in about a second. Export, done.

## Auto Sync

SyncCut finds the offset by matching your recording against the camera's own audio. It takes about a second, even for an hour-long recording. Drag the audio along the waveform timeline, or nudge it in 10 ms steps, and preview the result live.

Video with no sound of its own, like a screen recording? Skip Auto Sync and line the audio up by hand the same way.

## Batch Sync

Drop many clips and one or more recordings. Each clip is matched to the recording that fits it best, and weak matches are flagged so you can check them before exporting everything to a folder.

## Lossless export

Export to MP4 or MOV. The video is passed through untouched when possible, with a high-quality re-encode only when needed. You can keep the camera's original audio underneath the external track. A failed or cancelled export never overwrites an existing file.

## Private by design

Everything happens on your Mac. SyncCut never connects to the internet, and your footage never leaves your machine.
