This policy covers the Plux Chrome extension. The Plux desktop app has its own privacy policy.
When you capture text, Plux saves that text together with the address and hostname of the page it came from, so you can see where each note came from. It also saves the categories you create and your settings (theme, language, last send-to target). All of this is kept in your browser's local extension storage on your device.
Nothing is sent to us. The extension has no account, no server, no analytics and no tracking. We can't see your notes.
The only time text leaves Plux is when you choose "Send to". Plux then places the notes you selected into the prompt box of ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini in your browser. It never presses Enter, so nothing is submitted until you send it yourself. What you send is then handled under that service's own privacy policy.
Capturing with a double-tap of Shift needs permission to run on the pages you visit. Plux doesn't ask for it at install; you turn it on from the panel, and you can turn it off at any time. With it on, Plux only listens for the Shift key. It reads the text you have selected when you double-tap Shift, and reads nothing else from the page.
Plux doesn't read your clipboard. It writes to it only when you copy notes, or as a fallback when an AI site ignores the inserted text, in which case the panel tells you so.
We don't sell, transfer or share your data with anyone, and we don't use it for advertising, creditworthiness or any purpose other than the extension's features.
Delete notes from the panel's Trash, or remove the extension; Chrome then deletes everything the extension stored.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
